This means getting out the door and promoting, asking, demonstrating, teasing, innovating, risking, sticking your neck out. There is the possibility that it doesn’t work. That you get rejected. There is also the possibility that you get it right, and you are embraced. You just don’t know, and that is where the excitement lies. Risking it (your ego and reputation) for the unknown. That’s why it takes bravery and a mind-set that embraces the unknown as exciting, to generate new business and build success.

If it were easy, everyone would be doing it. If it wasn’t scary, we wouldn’t need you. Your job is to bravely go out every day and with your skills and talent, bravely face the naysayers and the negatives. To wield your sword while smashing through unethical competitors, going out of the business sales, and “let’s wait and see” attitudes. It’s lifting your shield against rejection, time wasting, discount insisting excuses and requests. It’s dragging yourself, beaten and bruised, back into the office at the end of the day beaten and bruised, down, but never out. It’s having your bruises tended by your sales manager and going back out the next day, and the next, and the next. Because, that’s how winning is done.
